Today at 4 pm, the 84th military client we have helped through the Nicholas J. Murphy Military Legal Clinic, started his visitation and parenting time with his two children after being denied his time for several weeks because his wife filed what I consider to be a bogus order of protection against him to gain an advantage in a custody case. Tomorrow that Order of Protection will be dismissed because we chose to take his case last week to help out a veteran.Read More
IF ALL YOU WANT IS AN UNETHICAL MERCENARY ATTORNEY TO WASTE YOUR MONEY AND THE COURT'S TIME FIGHTING OVER THINGS THAT YOU CANNOT WIN JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT TO FIGHT AND PAY THAT ATTORNEY, DO NOT COME TO ME OR MURPHY & DUNN.Read More
66 cases and over $340,000 worth of free family law legal services have been provided by the Nicholas J. Murphy Pro Bono Clinic since Nick Murphy was killed. That is simply unbelievable. We are so proud to be able to give back to all of the veterans and military families that we have helped these past two years in providing family law legal services to them when in need. The attorneys and paralegals and staff at Murphy & Dunn have gone so far above and beyond what we could have ever expected. It is very gratifying and we are very proud.Read More
It is just as important to be great people who care about our clients and their children, including their feelings and emotions. To understand their pain and agony. To help them get through it on their darkest days. To be there for them. Will I take care of them? Absolutely.Read More
He went home to tell his wife what I said. To try to save his marriage. To try to make it work. Hopefully it will. Not everyone needs to rush into getting a divorce just because bad things happen. That is “real life.” Life is hard. Sometimes it really sucks. Marriage is hard. Sometimes it truly sucks too. But that doesn’t mean it should be thrown away and discarded. I would be surprised if I ever see that husband back in my office ever again. I think they have a real shot at making it.Read More
We know there is nothing more important to any great parent than your kids. No matter how much it hurts to lose a child, there is a positive in every tragedy. You just have to look hard sometimes to find it.Read More
It is unbelievable to me how much we can do and how we are doing it.
We are going to exponentially expand what help we can give over the next year. Once we get everything worked out properly from a paperwork standpoint and from an ability to properly apply for grants, we will be hiring full time attorneys and staff for Nick’s Foundation and pro bono clinic and will be taking it statewide. No one else can offer free or reduced rate family law legal services to veterans and active duty military like we can. That is our future at the Foundation.
So when I say we can save lives, I mean it.Read More
In just this short period of time, we have undertaken 39 family law cases and donated over $153,000.00 worth of family law legal services. To say I am proud and honored is an understatement. No one that we know of in the entire United States is doing what we are doing. It feels good.Read More
I don’t wish death or divorce on anyone, especially the loss of a son or daughter. However, I can state with certainty that if you have to go through a divorce, I will be there for you as you have all been there for me. The only way to survive all of this is together.Read More
The legacy of Murphy & Dunn and the Nicholas J. Murphy Foundation appears to be in good hands long after I am gone. I hope years from now my grandkids look back fondly on the family business and are just as proud then as we are now. Plus, hopefully, they will think their grandfather was pretty cool.Read More
No matter what else we do for you, our first job is to look at you and every client as a person first, and not as a number and not as just a client. Each and every person that comes to us is a living and breathing person that is hurting. We have to put you first and really think about what you need. That is job number one for us on every case, all the time.Read More
